Imperial Miners is a lightweight engine building card game designed for 1-5 players in which players explore mines through an ingenious card activation system. This game is set in the popular Imperial Settlers universe and features beautiful illustrations, easy-to-assimilate rules and satisfying gameplay, rich in chain reactions and engine building synergies. Players create their own mines by playing cards in their personal board. They start from the surface and develop downwards. Each time a card is added to their mine, it activates itself and all the cards located above, rewarding the player with satisfactory chain reactions and combos. The cards belong to six different factions and offer various strategies. Players mix different factions in their mines to get the best results. By developing their mines, players also progress on progress boards. During setup, three of the six available progress trays are randomly selected for the game. These trays each offer a different strategic axis. Throughout the game, players progress to get extra bonuses that help them develop their boards, activate synergies between cards, earn victory points, and achieve even more satisfying combos. The combination of progress boards influences strategies and makes the game different with each game. Imperial Miners offers impressive replayability thanks to its wide variety of different maps and modular progress boards. In addition, players play simultaneously, which makes the gameplay fast and lasts no more than 45 minutes.
