Choose a design and print it onto either side of the plastic shrink sheet directly. Allow the sheet to dry before handling. Use with regular/decorative scissors or die cutting systems. If needed, punch holes with a paper punch prior to baking. Holes will also shrink about 5 times, so don’t make them too small. Besides printing images on the shrink sheet, it’s possible to trace, colour, stamp, die-cut, punch, emboss, and paint the material Bake it, Shrink it Cut out the design and place it on greaseproof paper lined with medium weight cardboard, a Teflon sheet, parchment paper or vellum. Do not bake on bare metal or any stoneware. The Shrink Art sheets can be baked in a conventional oven or used with an embossing heat tool. Pre-heat the oven to 150°- 170°C. We recommend testing with a scrap piece of inkjet shrink film to determine best baking temperature and time. Pop in the oven and watch your project begin to shrink Bake for 2 to 3 minutes until the material is flat or the shrinking has stopped. After baking, the plastic material will shrink and thicken up to 5 times its original size Cover design with parchment paper or vellum to minimize curling and sticking while baking. If curling or sticking occurs, remove from oven, flatten with a spatula or pull apart with utensils or tweezers when slightly cooled and then reheat to complete the shrinking process. After baking, if the shrink process has completely finished the material should be pliable. You can choose between flattening your project by placing it underneath something flat and heavy like a book or you could bend your shape (ideal for creating napkin rings, Christmas ornaments, jewellery etc.).
